All participants are required to register with the RCGA prior to the competition during the listed time below.  Players who do not register at those times, without informing the officials, are subject to DISQUALIFICATION.

OFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUND

All competitors are entitled to one official practice round at Elmhurst Golf & Country Club on Monday, July 28, 2008. Please contact the Elmhurst Golf Shop 204-222-5511. Please do not forward requests until after July 4, 2008.

During the practice round, one hole will be chosen as a qualifier for a long drive competition to be held following the practice round (approximately 4:30 p.m.).

Official Provincial Team photos will be taken promptly at 5:00 p.m. Monday, July 28^th prior to the Flag Raising Ceremony.

PROVINCIAL TEAM MEMBERS ARE TO ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 5:00 FOR PICTURES AND TO RECEIVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CEREMONY.

INTER-PROVINCIAL TEAM RECEPTION / PLAYER DINNER

The host committee of Elmhurst Golf & Country Club would like to extend an invitation to all competitors to the Inter-Provincial Team Reception and Player Dinner on Wednesday, July 30, following play (approximately 7:00pm). If players have guests please ensure you make reservations at registration on Monday.  All guests are welcome and will be charged the RCGA cost per individual.

OPENING CEREMONIES

The RCGA, host tournament committee, and Elmhurst Golf & Country Club invite you to attend the Opening Flag Raising Ceremony, Monday, July 28 at 6:00pm. All players and guests are welcome to attend. Dress is casual for all non-team participants.  Players are requested to go immediately to the Mandatory Player Meeting.

HOST HOTEL

The Fort Garry, ($109 single/double), 204-942-8251, is the official host hotel for the championship – please refer to the ‘2008 Royale Cup Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship’ when making your reservation. Reservations must be made by June 26^th.  A shuttle service will be available between this hotel and the Elmhurst Golf & Country Club.

PLAYER HOUSING

Members of Elmhurst will be offering to house participants in the Royale Cup Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship. Availability is limited, on a first come-first served basis. Please contact Player Services, Lynne Rehbein at lrehbein@mts.net or (204) 661-5767 to obtain further details.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for the first and second rounds will be made available during registration on Monday, July 28^th.   Second round Inter-Provincial Team, and individual third and final round starting times will be available in the evening preceding play at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the RCGA Tournament Office and in the Golf Shop, and after 9:00 p.m. at the host hotel.

CODE OF CONDUCT AND RCGA WOMEN’S DIVISION DRESS CODE

The RCGA Code of Conduct is in effect during the entire championship.  Violations of the Code of Conduct will be dealt with based on the severity of the misconduct.  In addition, players and guests at all times are required to abide by the RCGA Women’s Division dress code.

CADDIES

Caddies will be available to all participants who have indicated they require a caddie on the official entry form. The cost of a caddie is $40.00/round. Additional caddies are available on a first come - first served basis. You may also reserve a caddie by calling the Elmhurst Golf Shop at 204-222-5511 or contacting Caddie Chairman Darren Hayden via email at proshop@elmhurstcc.ca.  Please indicate whether or not you will require a caddy for the practice round.

CLUBHOUSE FACILITIES

Elmhurst Golf & Country Club will be open daily at 6:30am. The clubhouse restaurant has a varied menu to serve the needs of players and guests throughout the week. Cash and Credit Cards will be accepted in both the Clubhouse and Golf Shop.  The Player Lounge will be the player’s social room where scores and updates will be located.

PRACTICE FACILITIES

Practice Facilities at Elmhurst Golf & Country Club will be available to all tournament players for the duration of the Championship. The range will open each day at 6:30am - balls are complimentary, courtesy of the host club and organizing committee. 

LOCKERS AND CLUB STORAGE

Elmhurst Golf & Country Club has a limited number of lockers available.  If you wish to reserve a locker for the week, or want to have your club stored, please make arrangements through the Golf Shop no later than July 1, 2008.

NO SHOW POLICY       

If you find you cannot compete in the championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting Alison Turcotte at 800-263-0009 ext. 250.  This allows us to replace you with an alternate.  If you cannot compete and do not withdraw and are therefore a “no show”, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future RCGA and provincial competitions.
