TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION

All competitors must register prior to the start of the Championship. Players that do not register may be disqualified. Official tournament registration will be held at the Kawartha Golf & Country Club:

Tuesday, September 4                8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (All participants must register by 5:00)

OFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUND

All qualified players are entitled to a practice round at the Kawartha Golf & Country Club, Tuesday, September 4, 2007. Please call the Golf Shop at 705-743-3737 x501 to book a time.

During the practice round, one hole will be chosen as a qualifier for a long drive competition to be held following the second round (approximately 6 p.m.).

INTER-PROVINCIAL TEAM PHOTOGRAPHS

Official Provincial Team photos will be taken promptly at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the Flag Raising Ceremony.

PROVINCIAL TEAM MEMBERS ARE TO ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 5:00 FOR PICTURES AND TO RECEIVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CEREMONY.

INTER-PROVINCIAL TEAM RECEPTION / PLAYER DINNER

The host committee of Kawartha Golf & Country Club would like to extend an invitation to all competitors to the Inter-Provincial Team Reception and Player Dinner on Thursday, September 6, following play (approximately 7:30pm). This will be a jacket and tie affair. If players have guests please ensure you make reservations at registration on Tuesday.  All guests are welcome and will be charged the RCGA cost per individual.

OPENING CEREMONIES AND WELCOME RECEPTION

The RCGA, host tournament committee, and the Kawartha Golf & Country Club invite you to attend the Opening Flag Raising Ceremony, Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 6:00pm. All players and guests are welcome to attend. Dress is casual for all non-team participants.

HOST HOTEL

The Holiday Inn Peterborough 705-743-1144 is the official host hotel for the championship – please refer to the 2007 Canadian Men’s Senior Championship when making your reservation. Additional rooms are available at the Comfort Inn & Suites 705-740-7000 (toll free 877-316-9948). A shuttle service will be available between this hotel and the Kawartha Golf & Country Club.

STARTING TIMES                                     

Starting times for the first and second rounds will be made available at registration, in the RCGA Tournament Office and in the Golf Shop on Tuesday, September 4^th, at 8:00 a.m. Second round Inter-Provincial Team, and individual third and final round starting times will be available in the evening preceding play at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the RCGA Tournament Office and in the Golf Shop, and after 9:00 p.m. at the host hotel.

SPOUSES AND GUESTS

The championship committee has planned some outings and functions for all guests during the week. Please refer to the Companion Sheet enclosed with the confirmation of your entry into the tournament. Please ensure the Companion Sheet information is returned to Kawartha Golf & Country Club. Details will be confirmed at registration.

DRESS CODE

The RCGA Dress Code is in effect during the entire Championship. The Dress Code is available on the RCGA Web site (www.rcga.org) and will be supplied to each participant at registration. If you have any questions, please consult with an RCGA Tournament Official.

CLUBHOUSE FACILITIES

The Kawartha Golf & Country Club will be open daily at 6:00am. The clubhouse restaurant has a varied menu to serve the needs of players and guests throughout the week. Cash and Credit Cards will be accepted in both the Clubhouse and Golf Shop.

PRACTICE FACILITIES

Practice Facilities at the Kawartha Golf & Country Club will be available to all tournament players for the duration of the Championship. Range will open each day at 6:30am - balls are complimentary, courtesy of the host club and organizing committee.

CARTS

All arrangements for carts should be made with the Golf Shop at 705-743-3737 x501. You must pre-reserve power carts. Please make yourself familiar with the RCGA Transportation Policy.

LOCKERS & CLUB STORAGE

Kawartha Golf & Country Club has a limited number of lockers available.  If you need to reserve a locker for the week, please make arrangements through the Golf Shop no later than July 29, 2007. If you wish to have your clubs stored, please make these arrangements through the Golf Shop by July 29.

NO SHOW POLICY             

If you find you cannot compete in the championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting Alison Turcotte at 800-263-0009 ext. 250.  This allows us to replace you with an alternate.  If you cannot compete and do not withdraw and are therefore a “no show”, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future RCGA and provincial competitions.
