| Detail: | The Oaks Golf Club Delaware, Ontario August 20-24, 2007 TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION All competitors must register prior to the start of the Championship. Players that do not register may be disqualified. Official tournament registration will be held at The Oaks Golf Club: Monday, August 20 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. OFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUND All qualified players are entitled to a practice round at the The Oaks Golf Club, Monday, August 20, 2007. Please call the Golf Shop at (519) 652-1762 to book a time.. INTER-PROVINCIAL TEAM MEMBERS PRACTICE ROUND Practice round tee times for Provincial Team Members on Monday, August 20th, are as follows: ** Non-playing team captains meeting at 9:30 am (Monday) in the RCGA Tournament Office ** INTER-PROVINCIAL TEAM PHOTOGRAPHS Official Provincial Team photos will be taken promptly at 5:00 p.m. Monday, August 20 prior to the Flag Raising Ceremony. PROVINCIAL TEAM MEMBERS ARE TO ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 5:00 FOR PICTURES AND TO RECEIVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CEREMONY. INTER-PROVINCIAL TEAM DINNER The Inter-Provincial Team Dinner will be held on Wednesday, August 22nd, at The Oaks Golf Club. The reception will begin at 6:30pm, followed by dinner at 7:00. This will be a jacket and tie affair for all teams, captains, and invited guests. OPENING CEREMONIES AND WELCOME RECEPTION The RCGA, host tournament committee, and the The Oaks Golf Club invite you to attend the Opening Flag Raising Ceremony, Monday, August 20, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. All players and guests are welcome to attend. Dress is casual for all non-team participants. HOST HOTELS The Delta London Armouries 519-679-6111 (or toll free 1-800-668-9999) is the official host hotel for the championship – please refer to the RCGA Canadian Mid-Amateur when making your reservation. Secondary accommodations are available at the Best Western Lamplighter Inn, 519-681-7151. A shuttle service will be available between both hotels and The Oaks Golf Club.
STARTING TIMES Starting times for the first and second rounds will be made available at registration, in the RCGA Tournament Office and in the Golf Shop on Monday, August 20th, at 8:00 a.m. Second round Inter-Provincial Teams, and individual third and final round starting times will be available in the evening preceding play at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the RCGA Tournament Office and in the Golf Shop, and after 9:00 p.m. at the host hotel. DRESS CODE The RCGA Dress Code is in effect during the entire Championship. The Dress Code is available on the RCGA Web site (www.rcga.org) and will be supplied to each participant at registration. If you have any questions, please consult with an RCGA Tournament Official. CADDIES Caddies will be available to all participants who have indicated they require a caddie on the official entry form. The cost of a caddie is $40.00/round. Additional caddies are available on a first come – first served basis. You may also reserve a caddie by calling Bob Dulong in The Oaks Golf Shop at 519-652-1762. CLUBHOUSE FACILITIES The Oaks Golf Club will be open daily at 6:00am. The clubhouse restaurant has a varied menu to serve the needs of players and guests throughout the week. Cash and Credit Cards will be accepted in both the Clubhouse and Golf Shop. The main dining lounge will be the player’s social room where scores and updates will be located. PRACTICE FACILITIES Practice Facilities at The Oaks Golf Club will be available to all tournament players for the duration of the Championship. Range will open each day at 6:30am - balls are complimentary, courtesy of the host club and organizing committee. LOCKERS AND CLUB STORAGE The Oaks Golf Club has a limited number of lockers available. If you need to reserve a locker for the week, please make arrangements through John Schidowka at 519-652-1760 ext. 1 no later than August 1, 2007. If you wish to have your clubs stored, please make these arrangements through the Golf Shop by August 1, 2007. NO SHOW POLICY If you find you cannot compete in the championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting Alison Turcotte at 800-263-0009 ext. 250. This allows us to replace you with an alternate. If you cannot compete and do not withdraw and are therefore a “no show”, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future RCGA and provincial competitions.
