| Detail: | Riverside Country Club August 10-17, 2007 TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION All competitors must register prior to the start of the Championship. Players that do not register may be disqualified. Official tournament registration will be held at the Riverside Country Club: Thursday, August 9 12:00pm – 5:00pm (Friday Qualifier Participants Only) Saturday, August 11 8:00am – 5:00pm (All participants must register by 5:00) OFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUND All qualified players are entitled to a practice round at the Riverside Country Club, Saturday, August 11, 2007. Please call the Golf Shop at (306) 373-1292 to book a time. WILLINGDON CUP TEAM MEMBERS PRACTICE ROUND Practice Round tee times for Provincial Team Members on Saturday, August 11 are as follows: *Non-playing team captains meeting at 10:00am in the RCGA tournament office WILLINGDON CUP TEAM PHOTOGRAPHS Official Provincial Team photos will be taken promptly at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11 prior to the Flag Raising Ceremony. PROVINCIAL TEAM MEMBERS ARE TO ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 5:00 FOR PICTURES AND TO RECEIVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CEREMONY. OPENING CEREMONIES AND WELCOME RECEPTION The RCGA, host tournament committee, and the Riverside Country Club invite you to attend the Opening Flag Raising Ceremony, Saturday, August 11 at 5:30pm. All players and guests are welcome to attend. Dress is casual for all non-team participants. WILLINGDON CUP TEAM DINNER The Willingdon Cup Team Dinner will be held on Saturday, August 11, at the Riverside Country Club. The reception will begin immediately after the opening ceremonies, followed by dinner at approximately 7:00pm. This will be a jacket and tie affair for all teams, captains, and invited guests. PLAYER’S DINNER The host committee of the Riverside Country Club would like to extend an invitation to all competitors to Saskatchewan Night, featuring a pitchfork fondue on Sunday, August 12, following play (approximately 7:00pm). The dinner will be held at Riverside Country Club. Dress is casual. HOST HOTEL The Sheraton Cavalier 306-652-6770 ext. 3322 is the official host hotel for the championship – please refer to the 2007 Canadian Amateur Championship when making your reservation. A shuttle service will be available between this hotel and the Riverside Country Club. PLAYER HOUSING Members of the Riverside Country Club will be offering to house participants in the Canadian Amateur. Availability is limited, on a first come-first served basis. Please contact Player Services, Myrna Berwick at mberwick@shaw.ca to obtain further details. STARTING TIMES Starting times for the first and second rounds will be made available at registration, in the RCGA Tournament Office and in the Golf Shop on Saturday, August 11th, at 8:00 a.m. Second round Willingdon Cup, and individual third and final round starting times will be available in the evening preceding play at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the RCGA Tournament Office and in the Golf Shop, and after 9:00 p.m. at the host hotel. PAIRINGS RECEPTION – MONDAY, AUGUST 13 Following the second round, the RCGA Tournament Rules Chair will announce the pairings for Tuesday’s Matches at an informal gathering to be held at the Riverside Country Club. All players are invited to attend. The Pairings Reception is scheduled to begin following play (approximately 8:00pm). WESTERN NIGHT – TUESDAY, AUGUST 14 The host committee of the Riverside Country Club would like to extend an invitation to all competitors to Western Night, featuring a BBQ, games and music on Tuesday, August 14, following play (approximately 7:00pm). The BBQ will be held at Riverside Country Club. Dress is casual. DRESS CODE The RCGA Dress Code is in effect during the entire Championship. The Dress Code is available on the RCGA Web site (www.rcga.org) and will be supplied to each participant at registration. If you have any questions, please consult with an RCGA Tournament Official. CADDIES Caddies will be available to all participants who have indicated they require a caddie on the official entry form. The cost of a caddie is $40.00/round. Additional caddies are available on a first come – first served basis. You may also reserve a caddie by calling the CLUBHOUSE FACILITIES The Riverside Country Club will be open daily at 6:00am. The clubhouse restaurant has a varied menu to serve the needs of players and guests throughout the week. Cash and Credit Cards will be accepted in both the Clubhouse and Golf Shop. PRACTICE FACILITIES Practice Facilities at the Riverside Country Club will be available to all tournament players for the duration of the Championship. Range will open each day at 6:00am - balls are complimentary, courtesy of the host club and organizing committee. LOCKERS & CLUB STORAGE Riverside Country Club has a limited number of lockers available. If you wish to reserve a locker for the week, or want to have your club stored, please make arrangements through the Golf Shop no later than July 30, 2007. NO SHOW POLICY If you find you cannot compete in the championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting Alison Turcotte at 800-263-0009 ext. 250. This allows us to replace you with an alternate. If you cannot compete and do not withdraw and are therefore a “no show”, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future RCGA and provincial competitions.
