TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION

All competitors must register prior to the start of the Championship. Players that do not register may be disqualified. Official tournament registration will be held at The Eagles Glenn Golf Club:

Monday, July 2^nd, 2007                8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (All participants must register by 5:00)

OFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUND

All qualified players are entitled to a practice round at The Eagles Glenn Club, Monday, July 2, 2007. Please call the Golf Shop at (902)963-3600 to book a time.

OPENING CEREMONIES AND WELCOME RECEPTION

The RCGA, host tournament committee, and The Eagles Glenn Golf Club invite you to attend the Opening Flag Raising Ceremony, Monday, July 2 at 6:00pm. All players and guests are welcome to attend. Dress is casual.

PLAYER’S DINNER

The host committee of The Eagles Glenn Golf Club would like to extend an invitation to all competitors to a player’s dinner on Wednesday, July 4^th, following play (approximately 7:00pm).  The dinner will be held at The Eagles Glenn Golf Club.  Dress is casual.

HOST HOTEL

The Resort at Cavendish Corner (877) 963-2251 is the official hotel for the championship – please refer to the 2007 Canadian Senior Match Play Championship when making your reservation. A shuttle service will be available between this hotel and the Eagles Glenn Golf Club.

STARTING TIMES                                     

Starting times for the first and second rounds will be made available at registration, in the RCGA Tournament Office and in the Golf Shop on Monday, July 2^nd, at 8:00 a.m.

PAIRINGS RECEPTION

Following the second round, the RCGA Rules Chairman will announce the pairings for Thursday’s matches at an informal gathering to be held at The Eagles Glenn Golf Club. All players are invited to attend. The Pairings Reception is scheduled to begin following play (approximately 8:00pm).

SPOUSES AND GUESTS

The championship committee has planned some outings and functions for all guests during the week. Please refer to the Companion Sheet enclosed with the confirmation of your entry into the tournament. Please ensure the Companion Sheet information is returned to The Eagles Glenn Golf Club. Details will be confirmed at registration.

DRESS CODE

The RCGA Dress Code is in effect during the entire Championship. The Dress Code is available on the RCGA Web site (www.rcga.org) and will be supplied to each participant at registration. If you have any questions, please consult with an RCGA Tournament Official.

CLUBHOUSE FACILITIES

The Eagles Glenn Golf Club will be open daily at 6:00am. The clubhouse restaurant has a varied menu to serve the needs of players and guests throughout the week. Cash and Credit Cards will be accepted in both the Clubhouse and Golf Shop.   

PRACTICE FACILITIES

Practice Facilities at The Eagles Glenn Golf Club will be available to all tournament players for the duration of the Championship. Range will open each day at 6:00am to all competitors who pay the club’s $25 range fee.

CARTS

All arrangements for carts should be made with the Golf Shop at (902)963-3600. You must pre-reserve power carts.

NO SHOW POLICY

If you find you cannot compete in the championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting Alison Turcotte at 800-263-0009 ext. 250.  This allows us to replace you with an alternate.  If you cannot compete and do not withdraw and are therefore a “no show”, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future RCGA and provincial competitions.
